# Society is turning towards sustainability and local products. WOOD is no exception.
Throughout the last century we have had no reason to doubt steel and concrete as the essential structural materials in large scale buildings. However, we are now in a unique moment in history, where the reality of climate change is motivating new environmental regulations which are imposed on the building sector, bringing into crisis the way in which we have built up to this moment.
Constructive solutions in wood have the potential to bring about a revolution in the building industry through a high quality sustainable development, creating growth in the local economy and contributing to minimize climate change.
